reorganized my home, reorganize my life
Today, with the help of friends, I started decluttering and reorganizing my apartment. I even cleaned out my pantry getting rid of the food I will not eat anymore. My soda withdrawal headaches are gone. I've starting putting together the "girly Star Trek" bedroom that Chloe's been wanting. My apartment is becoming a home, and I am becoming a healthy woman and mother. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
WORST IS OVER... I hope
The past 24 hours were horrible with the soda withdrawals, but I survived... even better, Chloe survived. I still have a bit of a headache, but I can do this. My coach asked me to try to go 21 days without soda. Tomorrow will be a week, I just have to make it two more weeks. Thank you to all who've prayed for me, please continue to do so.

online helper
I'm using www.myfitnesspal.com. It has a tool that calculates how many calories, fat, protein, etc that you need per day. There's a food calculator that does the work for you, just record what you eat. There's also a exercise tool. You put in what you did and for how long. Then it calculates it with what you ate. It records your intake and out take. You can also join the community on there with others who are also trying to get healthy.

Sunday Feb 18
I know some people out there don't believe there's such a thing as a soda addiction. They say, "Just quit cold turkey." To those people I say, "Go to a smoker, take their cigarettes, and tell them to quit cold turkey." They'll be lucky if they don't get hit. I went from drinking a case (yes, 24 cans) of Pepsi or Mountain Dew a day to about 1 or 2 cans a day. Every time I tried to quit, I would be fine for about a day or so. After that, I'd have severe withdrawals. Tuesday, I had my last soda. I am determined to make it this time. I've been having withdrawals all day. Went to church. My headaches and nausea tried to cause problems when the music came on, but I decided to get up and praise the Lord anyway. Plus dancing burns calories. Haven't eaten much today because of the nausea, I will try to have at least a protein shake tonight. I am not going to let the withdrawals win... I AM GOING TO OVERCOME MY SODA ADDICTION!

local Biggest Loser Challenge
I signed up for a local Biggest Loser Challenge. Chloe and I wear Leonard Nimoy's Live Long and Prosper clothing line as our team t-shirts (seems appropriate). I have a coach and using Herbalife protein shakes that are delicious and are filling. We even got kids' shakes for Chloe. Today we had Elvis shakes (made with peanut butter and banana). So far, I'm doing ok with giving up soda. We'll keep you posted.
