I am also tired. My sleep is still off, I get a few mini-naps verses a good night.
Going back to ortho in Iowa City next Tues to check on my leg. Next Wed, I'm getting an MRI done on my spine to see what's up there. Prayer would be appreciated.
Caught the end of Dr Oz. He had Lizzie Velasquez on, she's the so-called "ugliest woman in the world". Sorry girly girl, I'm the reigning queen with that title.
Chloe's just getting home from school. Time to figure out dinner.

I'm guilty of not buying fresh produce. It's not because I won't eat it, it's because it doesn't last...can't afford to waste food. The awesome Dr Oz share his tips on freezing produce. I am excited to try this out. Thanks, Dr Oz :)

Dr Oz's squat challenge day 20
Did my 40 squats while watching Dr Oz. Whew, I'm exhausted.
Chloe's got the flu bug, and we have a winter storm starting tonight. This is going to be interesting.
I no longer have withdrawals or cravings for Mountain Dew. Had one earlier this week, didn't do a thing for me.
Been drinking only water. I'm drinking so much, it's going straight through. My headaches are practically nonexistent. For my entire adult life, I've had reoccurring UTIs. Haven't had one lately.
Just remember, if my crippled fat @$$ can do this challenge... You do not have an excuse.

Good news
Almost 2 decades ago, I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Never liked taking pills with no results and having my dose constantly increased. For approximately 2 years, I've been researching for a more natural way of treating it. Started to eat more foods like fish, nuts, and whole grains. Haven't taken the medicine in over a year. This past Friday, I had a doctor's appointment. When I mentioned I wasn't taking the meds and was treating my thyroid with diet. Doc said it can't be treated with diet and insisted it be retested so he can figure out what dose I should take. His nurse called this morning. She said my thyroid is normal, and we don't need to change my medication. I asked, "You mean, I don't need to take medication?" She sighed and said, "Yes, you don't need to take medication." Today, we were to do 30 squats. To tell the truth, I didn't do them. Been in a lot of pain. Had trouble baring weight on my bad leg. If the meds kick in before I fall asleep, I'll do as many as possible. Tomorrow, I'll do what I can.
Added at 10:30pm I did my squats!

Since I had to go to a couple appointments today, I did my squats early. Just finished up at last appt, waiting for cab home. Lost 7 pounds so far on challenge. It's Fishy Friday, gonna saute some salmon with some veggies. Have a good night, more squats tomorrow.

Update
This seems really weird. Before I became serious about my weight loss, I was on a see-food/seafood diet (see the food, I eat it). Now, I can go up to 2 or 3pm and not feel hungry at all. Even then, it takes very little to fill me up. I am going to lose this weight. Even if I won't be a size 4, I will be healthy and be around for my daughter.

Was feeling rather sore this morning. Before I could use that as an excuse, I did my 25 squats for the day. Luckily, I haven't felt anymore pain than usual from my injury. So I plan on doing as many squats as I can for as long as I can. Til tomorrow...

My yummy treat
I just hearted up a chopped apple in a skillet with a little cinnamon. Then I cooked a small tortilla in the juices. Put it all together with a spoon of peanut butter that just melted over the top. Delicious and less than 400 calories.

Dr Oz's squat challenge day 4
It's day 4 of Dr Oz's squat challenge, and we have 0 to do. Yep, you heard me right. It's a rest day, but don't get too comfy. We don't want to make it a free for all. For dinner, Chloe and I are eating 505 calorie taco salad in baked tortilla bowls with cottage cheese (instead of cheese and sour cream). I went 5 calories over my limit, but I'll make up for it. Join me tomorrow for the squat challenge.
